I came across this sentence in my reading.

" 2nd year Bachelor of pharmacy student attachment in community or industrial pharmacy"

I think the right word should be " placement" instead of " attachment".

Correct me if I am wrong.Thanks

I think you are right. I think it should probably be placement. It is most likely placement if the person is looking for a job, for example.

In BE, we use 'placement'- I have never heard this word used this way before.
