Default worried? can you help me?

i met with a question:
The law gets most parents __________.
A. worried B. to worry
the key is ' worried' . but why ' to worry ' is not right? it seems that we can say ' get someone to do' .

Hi wuwilliam,

See the following forms:
(have something done)
(get something done)

these two forms usually tends more to be in a passive sense, in other words, they are used when you arrange for somebody to do something for you. e.g.:
I had my car repaired: this means that you arranged for somebody to repair your car for you. i.e. your car was repaired by someone(NOT by you).
I got my car repaired: exactly same
But, assume I said 'I had/got my car to repair', it doesn't sound good at all. Thus, same thing applys to your example.

Good Luck

The problem with option B is that the sentence ends right after it. It would be fine if there was something to finish "to worry".

The law gets most parents to worry about their children's safety.
