In AmE, it is a bit out of date except in polite questions or poetic language.

We still say:

Shall we go?
Shall we dance?
Shall I get us some champagne?

I believe "shall" is used more often in BrE.

Other than questions, 'shall' is less used in BrE too, though it is still there. It's fairly common in formal use.
