    Default little questions

    hi

1.Language is a means of communication

Can we say "language is a way of transportation".If not,can you explain to me why not?

2.More importantly,we have to cut waste to save our energy.

my question is:why do we use an adverb here(importantly),could you explaint to me why?and can I use an adjective instead?

    thanks in advance!

1 You could say 'language is a way of communicating', but 'way of communication', or even 'transportation', wouldn't really work for me.
2 When a word modifies an entire sentece, often to show the writer's opinion, we generally use an adverb, though you will see adjectives used, but in formal usage, I'd go for the adverb.
