Default A Conditional Senteance - Correction needed

Hi,

Is it fine to say

If I was/were to get good grades I have to study hard.

If was/were + present + present / present perfect ????


also,

A catch you fell into or
A catch you fell for

not quite sure what your second two are referring to, but the second looks better than the first.

Thanks but how to use IF i was/were? do we use past tense throughout the sentence?
