I like to differ with your computer. The word embolden means:

Until a few minutes ago I'd have told anyone who cared to listen that nobody would use the word 'embolden' to mean 'set in boldface type'. But after doing a BNC search, I see there have been at least three people in Britain who have used 'embolden' this way.![]()
