    Default embold

In one of your tests you ask the question 'does the word embolden mean making a word bold'? to which I answered no, and I was found wrong by your computer.
I like to differ with your computer. The word embolden means:
    embolden

    verb
    1. To impart courage, inspiration, and resolution to: animate, cheer (on), encourage, inspire, inspirit, motivate. See help/harm/harmless.

No. It does not have that meaning in standard English.

    .
Until a few minutes ago I'd have told anyone who cared to listen that nobody would use the word 'embolden' to mean 'set in boldface type'. But after doing a BNC search, I see there have been at least three people in Britain who have used 'embolden' this way.
    .
I still haven't been able to find a boldface type sort of definition of embolden in any dictionary, though.
