| Am I right?? Or can it be connected also with an infinitive (with "to", then)? Yesterday I read the following sentence in the introduction of a book (it's called "Is That What You Mean?") written by an English speaking man. "Is That What You Mean?" will help you to understand why a mistake is wrong and help you to correct it." Why is the "to" used here? |

| It's OK: Help you understand ![]() Help you to understand ![]() They are both used. I am not sure whether the infinitive is more common in BrE- let's wait to see what the AE speakers say. |
