Better Land
Hi again. I am still working on "The McWilliamses and the Burglar Alarm" and I got to the following sentece.
we were gradually fading toward a better land, on account of the daily loss of sleep; so we finally had the expert up again, and ...
A better land doesn't make any sense to me. Had it been a worse land, I would have understood it. Can you please see any comprehensible meaning to it.
Thank you.

Re: Better Land
So if I understand aright, that would mean,

Well, it makes more sense. Referring to the other world as the better world, that would make it more understandable.
