Default inside is more important than outside?

Hello! the following sentneces are about my ideal guy and i am not sure some of the words and grammar. please check any mistkaes. thanks in advance.

1. When I was a young girl, I used to imagine an ideal boyfriend. It sounds really funny, but back in the days, I was really serious about making a list in my head on what my future boyfriend should be.( or what my boyfriend should have)

2.I wanted my boyfreind to be not only good looking but also intelligent , sweet and rich guy who would only think about me. ( (tense and article??? is that right?)

3. Now, i have started to see the inside of a man and i think the inside is more important than the outside. I mean he should be nice on the inside.

4.When learning a foreign language, associating words with a mother tonuge is one way to memorize a foreign language.

Maybe this will serve:

2. I wanted my boyfriend to be not only good looking, but also an intelligent, sweet and rich guy, who would only think about/of me.

4.When learning a foreign language, associating words with the mother's tongue is one of the best ways to learn the foreign language.

I would say 'the mother tongue'.

Yes, it's fine then- both Asad's, which I was referring to, and yours.
