Question confusion over " go back "

Dear Teachers,

The following expression is common in Asia. Is it acceptable to the native speaker's ponit of view ?

" I want to go back now; can you see me later. "

The phrase " go back " is widely used in many non-English speaking countries to refer to " go home". In view of inevitable globalisation,

Not in my part of the world, unless home has been previously mentioned. If it has not, we need to say go back home to clarify where we have come from.
