| I agree, although the #2 variants are quite acceptable in some contexts (particularly when reinforced with, say, even). b ps - This refers to the -er form, of course, and any possible continuation - ...even more funny. | You're welcome. As Bob K suggested, the rules for comparatives and superlatives are flexible. Both ways of forming them are appropriate for many adjectives and adverbs. |
