| Let mi quote the context: Mom came to the front porch of "old 3309" (an affectionate reference to our home) and called us to dinner. Any idea how to explain that affectionate name??? |

The writer's home was located at 3309 Something Street, so he/she refers to the home as "old 3309." Regards |

| [QUOTE=Agaja;124989]I'm looking for the explanation of the above phrase. Let mi quote the context: Mom came to the front porch of our family home, affectionately known as "old 3309" and called us to dinner. that would do but I'm not sure if it is what you are looking for |
