There are some spiders and a bird's nest in the chimney. I asked if nest refers to spiders too. Someone said "yes". Someone else said "however nest can not be used for spiders". Another person said "yes" nest can be used for spiders. How can I know the answer I get from you is correct or at least which one is correct.

Good question. One thing you can do is gather some research on spiders.

I think it means there are some spiders and also a birds nest in the chimney. Not nests of spiders
