Default sense

Hello,

could you please tell me whether the highlighted sentence is gramatically correct and makes sense:

In the event of delay, the supplier will immediately take all measures required to remedy this delay. In addition, the supplier undertakes to inform the customer as soon as possible or actual delay is discovered.

Does it mean: "as soon as possible or (as soon as) actual delay is discovered"? Or is there a mistake and the sentence should read: ... as soon as possible after actual delay is discovered?

Thank you very much.

Hanka

Or when I read it now, maybe the expression "possible" refers to the delay, meaning "potential" as opposed to "actual".

Additionaly, the supplier undertakes to inform the customer as soon as an actual delay ocurs or the possibility arises.
Is better, I think.

Much better, but I would put the second sentence in the future tense to match the first sentence.
