Default giving me the farewell party

Hello! If you see any mistakes, could you please correct them for me?

1. Thank you for giving me farewell party a few days ago.

2.I am delighted to hear your promotion.

3. I'm pleased to accept your job offer as you mentioned on your letter.
Also I confirm you that I can start working on October 1st.

4.We will ship the goods as soon as you open LC (As soon as the credit is confirmed, we will ship the goods. )

I thought maybe the goods would not be sent till the book was opened. I was always taught never to use abbreviations as they lead to confusion.
