What is the meaning of "I can live with that"? Please advise. Thanks
you are willing to accept and therefore cope with the situation before you (can be used in a sarcastic and ironic way too)
It means that something is not perfect, but it is acceptable or satisfactory.
"The city refused to put a traffic light on our street, but they did arrange for a crossing guard to be there during school hours. I can live with that."
Sometimes we use the expression when we are pleasantly surprised by something:
"I'd like to collect my prize - I won $10 in the charity raffle. Here's my winning ticket."
"You've made a mistake, sir. This prize for this ticket is $1,000, not $10."
"Well, I can live with that!"
