It is OK, except don't use an ampersand (&) or capitalize war.

I would say:

Science fiction and war action are my favorite types of movies.

Better: "...favorite types of movie" (the singular of "movie" here).

You need the "types of" in there because otherwise it sounds as if "Science Fiction" and "War Action" are names of individual movies.
