Hi guys,
First post here.
I'm haunted by a particular word in an advertising for a contraseptic on SkyBSB.
There is this little green monster/microorganism that says:
'I'm gonna make some people /wa:/'
The word that sounds like /wa:/ probably means vomiting but I can't find it in any dictionary.
Is this slang for 'vomiting' or 'gag' ?
Thanks in advance,
Miner
"I'm gonna make some people cry"?
~R
Thx for the reply RonBeebut no, definitly not 'cry'
It really sounds like I wrote it using the phonetic symbols.
A few sentences further it says 'I'm gonna give them diarrhea' so I thought that 'vomit' was a good guess.
Spoken English is for us, foreigners, sometimes very difficult to follow when people are mumbling or speaking with an accent.
I think I need someone who has actually seen the advertising on Sky television.
Kind Regards,
Miner
What is the product name? Perhaps we can find the commercial online somewhere.
I can't recall the name directly but hang on, tonight I go hunting for commercials![]()
LOL
Aaargh..... Antiseptic of course.Incidentally when you say contraseptic, do you mean antiseptic or contraceptive?![]()
That makes sense, good enough an explanation for me.Could be 'waah' which could mean cry out in pain.
@ RonBee,
Sorry, you were right from the beginning. It was my poor old brain that needed a bit more explanation.
Thanks for the help guys.
