Hi. I have problems with understanding UK salaries. For example:
1. £25,000, pay award pending -- what does this "pay award pending" mean?
2. £25,000, plus contributory public sector pension (pay award pending).
Also, when looking at annual salaries you should be aware that this is before deductions - for tax, National Insurance, pension contributions, etc. Someone earning £25K would be very unlikely to take home more than £20K.
