Hello, Could you, please, tell if the following sentence sounds OK in English:

" If the trainee fails to give the correct answers, the whole exercise appears on the screen with all the answers but the wrong answers are crossed out (strikethrough) and the correct answers appear next to the wrong ones."

If I am to use the word "strikethrough" what will be the correct structure of the sentence?

First the easy part: "Strikethrough" can be used as a noun and as an adjective.

Now for your sentence: When using the "Causal Conditional" the second part must reflect what will happen to Y, when X takes place (the first part of the sentence is X, the second part is Y).

"If the trainee fails to give the correct answers, the whole exercise will appear on the screen with all the answers but the wrong answers will be crossed out (strikethrough) and the correct answers will appear next to the wrong ones."

I might recommend this though: If the trainee fails to give the correct answers, the whole exercise will appear on the screen with all the answers but the wrong answers will appear as strikethrough text; the correct answers will appear next to the wrong ones.
