corectness
Have you ever met such constructions
" I'm interested in knowing "
" Thanking you in advance "
and do you consider them as good ones??

I'm interested in knowing about is the same as I would like to know about, and it is perfectly good. Thanking you in advance is a phrase I have run across numerous times. While it isn't, strictly speaking, necessary (for politeness), it is grammatical.

The second is sometimes used as a closing in a letter of request.
