"I wanted to stop but on thinking that i've been doing it for an hour, i didn't stop."
is it ok to replace that with just thinking...i mean will it make a difference or will it be wrong without the preposition on? thanks!
Say:
I wanted to stop, but thinking that I had been doing it for an hour, I didn't stop.~R
hmmm...i actually wanna know if on is possible there...let's say, "but thinking that mom will be home by 2, i didn't cook lunch."...is with or without on, ok?thanks again!^^
Try:
I was thinking that Mom would be home by two, so I didn't cook lunch.~R
If you have to use a preposition, try something like this:
I wanted to stop, but upon further consideration, I decided not to.
I wanted to stop, but after thinking about it, I decided not to.
I wanted to stop, but on a whim, I decided not to.
thanks!
