| While 'please read' sounds more natural, I would say that 'please have read' or 'please have chapter 2 read' are not ungrammatical. |

| Imagine a weary teacher whose class often fail to complete their work: Please have read it by Monday. (perfect imperative to try to get the little blighters to bother- emphasis on completion) |
