Default provisions

Hi,

could you please tell me the meaning of the word "provisions" in the following sentence:

The supplier is obliged to make his own health insurance and pension provisions.

Does it mean "reserves"?

Thank you very much.

It means that the supplier is not covered by the forms health insurance or pension benefits. The supplier must provide (procure) those for himself.
