Re: The difference between three nouns : " gap", slot" and " slit"
Hello Huonglv, welcome to Using English!
Here is my interpretation:
1. A gap is a space between two things, or between parts of one thing, e.g.
a) There's a large gap between those two houses.
b) Mind the gap between the platform and the train!
c) The rabbit ran through a gap in the hedge.
2. A slit is a long narrow gap or cut. Often, a "slit" has been made by someone. E.g.
a) He put a paper bag over his head, with two slits for his eyes.
b) There was a slit in the castle wall, to shoot arrows through.
c) He made a slit in the cocoon, and extracted the pupa.
3. A slot is a narrow gap, much longer than it's wide, which is designed for something to pass through or rest in. Often, it has the shape of a long rectangle. For instance:
a) There was a slot in the machine, where you could put your coin.
b) There was a slot in the dashboard, for a radio.
c) He put the letter through the slot in the door.
All the best,
MrP

Re: The difference between three nouns : " gap", slot" and " slit"
I agree with MrP generally, but I'd add that a gap can be any shape:
There was a gap where her front tooth should be.
or
After the missile hit there was a gap in the skyline where the building used to be
Slots and slits have similar shapes (long and thin), but a slit is often longer and usually thinner.
A slit is often in material or paper, whereas a slot is often in something more substantial - a letter-box or money-box, for example, or a slot machine in an amusement arcade or laundrette.. A slot is made or left intentionally, but a slit often isn't:
There is a slot where the money goes in..
but
There was a slit in the canvas where the thieves had slipped with their knife.
