Default Nouns, adverbs and verbs

Hi

Please could you let me know what are verbs, adverbs and nouns? I get confused with the meaning of all of these and how they are all used in a sentence

A noun is a person, a place or a thing:
Schoolhouse Rock Site - Grammar Rock A Noun Is A Person, Place Or Thing


A verb is a word that describes an action, or a state of being:
Schoolhouse Rock -Verb

An adverb is a word that modifies or describes a verb or an adjective:
