word choice
1. Do you say 'you little ate today' to mean "you ate almost nothing"? If not Why would you think it is strange?
2.You should ( ) your schedule before leaving home.
choices : assure, check, guarantee, make sure. I think check is the answer but I don't understand surely why the resi is not correct.

1. No. That is "You ate little today." Yours is odd because the direct object comes before the verb.
2. Of those choices, "check" the correct one. Assure and guarantee make no sense. You could say "make sure of your schedule" or "be sure of your schedule".

Re: word choice
Thank you very much for answering me promtly, MikeNewYork.
How about the following one?
Tony seemed ( ) to my idea.
bent, indifferent, same, similar
I think the answer is indifferent
If the sentence were "It seemed ( ) to my idea. same and similar can be put in the ( ) without changing the prep to?

Yes, "indifferent".
Only "similar" can go there. If you use "same" it must be "the same as my idea".

Re: word choice
you could "gaurantee your schedule" if you took steps to confirm and make sure that the appointments would be met, but 'check' is the common word.
Tony seemed (indifferent) to my idea
It seemed (similiar) to my idea
It seemed (same) to my idea
<<Maybe Mike can explain why  >

Re: word choice
Wow quick thanks again MikeNewYork. I see.
I have two more questions.
There is one mistake in the following sentece.
"What I want to know is that Mike really wants to become a doctor, for he doesn't make any effort at all"
I think that should be whether but does that make sence to some extent?
"Nothing would please me more than that my daughter should pass the entrance exam"
What does this should mean? I know the meaning of the whole sentence vaguely but not clear. What does the sentence mean?

I really can't explain that. We don't say "same to", but that doesn't explain all of it.

One could make a case for "that", but it doesn't make as much sense as "whether".
You'll probably have better luck with a BrE speaker on the second. For AmE, that is an unusal construction. That "should" is in the realm of the subjunctive of shall, rather than in the realm of duty or obligation. I would say "Nothing would please me more than my daughter passing the entrance exam."
