Very true. And the thought of being considered a "possession" upsets me a little. Just enough to make my stomach twist and knot up until the bile rises so high I can taste it in the back of my throat.

I've never thought of a fingerprint as being something you possess. More like something that's attached to you, and that can only be removed with acid.

An admirable sentiment. Is that not the essence of a wife, or indeed a spouse? It doesn't mean you can't go ice skating on Thursdays.
