In what context does one uses the expression "Let go of me"

I know "don't let go of me" means "Don't stop your support" or "Don't loose your grip or I will fall"

But, can it also be used as "Let go of me!!" for "Leave me alone !!" or "Hands off!!" ?

If someone grabbed your arm in the street, and tried to sell you something, you could say "Let go of me!".

It's fairly forceful.

To pursue MrP's example:

Imagine this person was persitently grabbing your arm. The first time it happened you might say 'Let go'; the second time 'Let me go'; and the third time 'I said, let go of me!'
