There are so many irregular rules in BrE that nobody can explain them.
And why aren't the verbs only regular in English. Many students would be happy to hear it.

It worked the second time. I got seven out of ten and failed to qualify as teacher’s pet.

    Comments:

    Question 1
How many types of punctuation (or sets of punctuation marks, such as brackets) are there, according to the Oxford Dictionary of English?

I was a little lazy on that one, neglecting the colon, the semicolon, and capital letter(?). (They should have said: “The answer is B.”)

    Question 2
How many punctuation errors are in this phrase: jonny couldnt believe what his teacher had said did he really say jonnys a useless halfwit he asked)
The OED considers capitalization and punctuation the same. They have a right to their opinion. Also, I missed the inside quotes quote marks. (It should be: “The answer is B.”)
    Question 10
"I have been a good boy all year I want a digger and a Spider-Man costume from Santa." How best to divide these sentences?

They didn’t give the option of using a period. (I did get that one right though.) However, they say in the explanation that they are two complete sentences. Duh! (It should be: “The answer is A.”)

That is not a question. There should be no QM (question mark) there.

I'm sure they would, but we'd both be unemployed.

What I like is your good sense of humour. Anyway if English didn't have so many irregular rules we would have twice more students. Do you know why? Because a lot of students stop learning at the first stage when we try to make them get used to this wonderful language.

Another point is when I by any chance manage to overcome all these difficulties at the beginning they fall in love with English and study very hard.
