Question 1 : it or them?

The Korean kept their own language and culture, and they still keep (it / them ) today.

In the parenthesis above, which one is right, it or them?



Question 2: that in Sydney or in Sydney?

The coast, like in Sydney, is green and beautiful with many trees.
The coast, like that in Sydney, is green and beautiful with many trees.

Which one of the two sentences above is grammatically right?


Question 3: weather or climate?
Australia is really huge and has many different types of [weather / climate].

I think I'd agree with your answers; except I'd use "climate" in #3, not "climates".

I might phrase the questions 1 slightly differently, though:

1. The Korean kept their own language and culture, and they still keep it/them today.

— "Korean" > "Koreans"; and "keep" is an odd verb, in this context. Perhaps "retained/retain".
