Question Teaching Children/Adults ???

What would I suggest others if they wish to provide practice with elision & assimilation in connected speech to people who've never been exposed to English nursery rhymes & limericks, and use their first language's intonation pattern when speaking in English?

How about exposing them to just those things? I recommend many things for native children as learning tools for non-native adults.
