Help With Adjectives!!

Please can you help me - I need to know what the adjective is for 'sponsor'?

It can be either sponsoring (the sponsoring company) or sponsored (the company-sponsored event).

If it refers to the person or organization who is the *sponsor, you would use "sponsoring": "Ford Motor Company is the sponsoring organization" (but this is not the most common usage - more common would be "Ford Motor Co. [is the sponsor of/sponsors/is sponsoring] this team/TV program/performance.")

If it refers to a person, TV program, performance (etc.) that is the beneficiary of a sponsorship (official support by a *sponsor) the [predicate] adjective you need is "sponsored": "The team is [being] sponsored by Ford Motor Company."
