Default the expression of "in addition to"

hi all:
i just ask if the following is correct from the grammar point of view:

" it was shown that, in addition to the errors due to the modulation process limitations, there is another error due to the sampling process"

some persons have told me that the expression " in addition to " must come in the beginning of the scentence. is this really true??????

The example you have given indicates that the answer is no. The sentence could equally have been written:

In addition to the errors due to the modulation process limitations, it was shown that there is another error due to the sampling process.

Or

It was shown that there is another error due to the sampling process, in addition to the errors due to the modulation process limitations.

Hello, Said - you asked if the expression "in addition to" always had to come at the beginning of a sentence.

The answer to your question is no, it does not always have to come at the beginning, as can be shown by the alternatives I provided.
