Confusion of tenses
He is a policeman
She is a nurse
I am confused as to whether these are present simple or present progressive, can anybody help?

Re: Confusion of tenses
Hello Guy
The "present simple" (or "simple present"), as its name suggests, always consists of one word, e.g.
1. He eats.
2. We go.
3. They disappear.
The present progressive however is a compound tense, e.g.
4. He is eating.
5. We are going.
6. They are disappearing.
The second part of the present progressive always consists of a word ending in "ing".
Does that give you a clue?
