Default If you are in the same situation...what would you say?!

Hello everyone,

I’m seeking your help and advice. I work in a company where is the English is the only language we use, even though it’s not my first language. Now my problem is that sometimes am not feeling well and I can not go to work so I spend hours thinking of what to tell my Boss. I always used to say

((I’m sorry I can not come to work today because am not feeling well, hopefully by tomorrow I will be okay.

Thank you,))

I’m not quiet happy with that…I want something maybe more friendly..!! something better….Please if you have any ideas feel free to share..

Thank you in advance..

Your statement is fine, but it has a couple of errors.

I’m sorry, I cannot come to work today because I am not feeling well. Hopefully, by tomorrow, I will be okay.

Your boss loves creative excuses for sick days? He is an unusual man. When one of my employees buries a third grandmother, I get suspicious.

He likes creativity in every thing we do at work...!
okay I have another question.. Is it necessary to mention what kind of sickness I have?! Or this is too much to say?
Swear to God am sick today even though I went to work…just to avoid mailing him!

I’ve been sick lately and I’ve been sending him the same msg!

Another question, nothing to do with English.. as a boss do you prefer your employees to write an Email or speak to you via phone if they are not coming to work?!

PS. Sorry for my poor English! I’m still learning

My employees must call in and speak to a supervisor. This allows some questioning of the employee if there is any suspicion. E-mails and phone messages are too easy.
