Alpha_AI is on a distinguished road
Default When it is a noun and when is it an adjective

Take a look at this sentence:

The Now function returns the current date and time in the local time zone

Is 'now' an adjective that modifies the noun 'function'
or is the words 'Now function' something else.

The word 'now' to me isnt a descriptive type of word and I know that adjectives are descriptive types of word.
So what is now and what is function.
Im confused.

Ben

As it is used there, "now" is a noun, because it names something. One could say that it forms a compound noun [noun - noun] with "function" or that it is a noun used as an adjective to describe which function. One could also call that a compound noun [adjective - noun]. It is the same either way.
