by and any
1.When can you use an adverb after by? ie: by slowly
2. After any when do we use the plular and the singular form?
Re: by and any
1. "By" is a preposition. An adverb that modifies a following gerund or adjective would be correct.

2. Any can be used with singular or plural count nouns and with noncount nouns. I'm not sure what you are asking
