hi,
which one is correct, "make a presentation" or "give a presentation"?

If you mean the actual presenting in front of an audience, we say "give a presentation." If you mean create a presentation that will be given to an audience at a later time, you can say "make a presentation," although it wouldn't be my choice of how to say it.

As mkwyner, I prefer "give a presentation", but "make" is used quite commonly for the actual presentation.
