| Can you give an example? If the clause begins with "that" and it follows a noun, it is probably a defining relative clause. |

| IMO, and my 2 cents worth of, a non-defining relative clause is not in apposition with its antencedent because it has a syntactical relation to the rest of the sentence different from that of what it modifies. |
