Both a and c are possible. Examples:
Why don't you study your lesson tonight if you are having an exam tomorrow?
If you are having an exam tommorow you should study tonight.
Why don't you get a good night's sleep if you have an exam tommorow?
If you have an exam tommorow you should get a good night's sleep.

The possibilities are a, b, and d. (Even c is possible if you alter the sentence just a bit.) However, of the choices given, the most likely is a. (The most likely possibility is not given. that would be: "Look! We got a letter from Aunt Mary.")

I hope that helps.

A: Why don't you turn off the light and go to bed?
B: I have an exam tomorrow. I have to study.
A: If you have an exam tomorrow then you need to get plenty of sleep. I have an exam tomorrow too, and that's what I am going to do.
