| Here's my question. When someone asks you if you have a dvd player or a VTR player, and I don't have a dvd player nor a VTR player, can I reply with below sentences? 1. I don't have either of them. 2. I have neither of them. Thank you for your time and help. |

| They're both acceptable - I'd guess '1' is slightly more common (and both would usually drop the 'of them'). Paradoxically, the bare word Neither is more common than either of those sentences. b |
