the distinction between "corpse" and "body"
A corpse is a dead body. A body may not be dead. It depends on the context.
'If I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me?' 'Corpse' wouldn't sound at all right there.
The body of a young woman was discovered by a passer-by. 'Corpse' would be OK here.
"If I said you had a beautiful corpse...", said the necrophiliac.
