    Question nice/ lovely

    Hi,

    Which is better /more commonly used

    'It was nice talking to you / i t was lovely talking to you' ?

    It depends upon your location. In the US, you will very rarely hear anyone say "it was lovely talking to you."

    I would consider the "lovely" form to be more formal.

    "Nice" is common; so are "good" and "great".

    I quite frequently say "It was lovely talking to you."

    It's more enthusiastic than nice, and probably sounds quite British and female.
