    Default correct expression

    Hi,

how would you call the value by which something is exceeded.

If a limit is defined, e.g. 20%, and the result is 25%, how would you call the 5% exceeding the limit? Is it "value of excess" or "excess value"?

    Thank you very much.

I would call it "overage" or "excess".
