The stem caus- is from the noun cause, which comes from Latin causa "a cause, reason, judicial process, lawsuit."
Words with the stem caus-: causal, causality, causation, causative
The suffix -tic comes from French -tique and Latin -ticus.
Words with the suffix -tic: sarcastic, mystic, plastic, therapuetic
