Hi teachers,

Could you please explain the meaning of the following sencentence?Thanks!

Short-haul U.S. saw the lion's share of decreases (16%).

Hello

My interpretation:

For a short period of time, in the US, the decrease of something was very intensive.

"Lion's share of the decreases" means the majority/largest share of the decreases. It is difficult to know what "short-haul" refers to in that sentence. It may refer to the freight industry.
