| A "wound" is an injury that involves a disruption/penetration of the skin. An "injury" refers to any damage (usually traumatic). All wounds are injuries, but not all injuries are wounds. |

| Also, wounds tend to be fairly serious cuts in everyday usage- if someone is stabbed, it's a wound, but if they prick their finger with a pin, it's not. In medical usage, and Mike will be able to help here, things may be different. |
