Is it stylistically unacceptable for a formal letter to say: “We hope your visit to Tbilisi will help you keep up the good work to strengthen EU-Georgia relations.”

Yes, it is a bit informal.

“We hope your visit to Tbilisi will help you in your mission/quest/efforts to strengthen EU-Georgia relations.”
