Dear Teachers,
A. I would suggest getting him involved in some type of skating club if you have one near by.
- Why don’t we add “s” to “type”?
B. My son is an A/B student.
- What does "A/B student” mean in this situation?
Thanks a million

Why should we? There a several types, but the one he gets involved in will belong to only one.
Pretty good, but not brilliant. A is presumably the highest grade (though some examination bodies award an 'A*' grade), B is above average. A teacher is likely to say this to the parent of a student who could get an A but is likely to get a B unless he/she works harder.
